I was a little skeptical of using a Mortgage Broker company against the traditional banking institutions that I was used to, however, after meeting Nathan Averill face to face, all my fears that I would not get a fair deal were washed away. From the first meeting Nathan laid out a very detailed and comprehensive game plan on how to approach the real estate transaction that would make sure I paid the least amount of interest I had to, and kept closing costs (The costs of purchasing a home that comes out of your pocket, such as down payments, inspections and so on that Nathan will detail) to a minimum. He also explained and educated me on what to expect, and how to deal with certain situations that could impact me financially. I was astounded by the amount of knowledge he had, which was understandable due to his experience and education in the financial sector. And furthermore, I was astounded by his amazing and down to earth personality. He was warm, inviting, open and communicative, which was the polar opposite of the representatives of the banks and credit unions I went to earlier.
After a couple of days of thinking, I decided to go with Nathan to represent my financial interests in the home purchasing experience, and as our first meeting, the rest of the transaction was like that; Smooth, Communicative, fast and always looking out for my best interests. Within days of having Nathan on my team, he was able to find out a good solid number as to what I would be able to finance, and at a very good interest rate as well. Whenever I found a home that I liked, that looked as though it might have a lot of offers put in quickly, he was always very quick to draft a Proof of Funds letter(A letter that is very important in the home buying procedure, that shows the seller you will have the funds to purchase the home, Nathan will explain more in detail)addressed to the seller within hours and sometimes even in minutes of me bringing it to his attention.
When I finally did find a home that I put in an offer in, to which it was accepted, Nathan was quick to move on this. At this point, things become very serious, and Nathan made sure everything went smoothly and quickly, and this is where I knew for sure I made the right choice in going with him. We had another face to face meeting to discuss which lender to go with, and things involving interest rates, closing costs and other details. He went through all the details so that I would be making the best decisions. He then went about communicating with all parties involved with the transaction from the lender, to the real estate agents and lawyers to ensure that I got the best deal possible and to make sure it went as fast and accurate as possible. With his attention to detail, he unearthed issues on the other side of the transaction that could have caused problems for me and addressed them quickly so that we can move on quickly.
During this entire process, I was nerve-racked, however, Nathan was always there to explain everything and make sure I got the best deal.
When the closing day finally came, Nathan to my surprise and delight revealed a closing cost that was much lower than his initial estimates. He was also there at the transaction himself, to hand over the check from the lender to the seller, all this despite his busy schedule. He was always was there for me during the process and in the end as well.
Nathan Averill is an amazing person and very, very, very excellent at his job. He was always looking out for my best interests and made sure I received a good interest rate, minimized my closing costs, and made this process very smooth, accurate, efficient and fast. The time it took to close from the day that the sellers accepted my offer to the official closing day was just a little over a month! That is something that is not common, with some closing periods taking two months or more. Overall, it was a pleasure dealing with Nathan, and if you go with him, I'm positive you will come out for the better in your transaction.
I apologize for the long review, however, I wanted to put in the same amount of effort and detail into this review that he put in for me. Furthermore, this review is for a house that Nathan helped me secure financing for, in December of 2018, and I can honestly say, that after four months, that I made the right choice going with Nathan Averill.
